Very soon this petition will be closed - we currently have 796 signatures and naturally a few more would give a good round number to help influence Sebastian James CEO of Boots (within the US Wallgreen's empire) to recognise that Glastonbury can be valuable to Boots sustainability and growth. So we know that there are 300 Boots shops closing around the country and that number will be judged on cost cutting (though Boots say staff will be given other jobs within Boots). Above all this is about maintaining the viability of Glastonbury's social and service structure and Glastonbury of all places may not buy into allopathic cures for all ills. There was a time when Boots sold homeopathic cures and somehow Boots Management have missed a selling opportunity to Glastonbury - so when this petition is submitted we shall note all the possibilities that are there for Boots/Wallgreens if it takes on what Boots means to Glastonbury within its social fabric and what maintaining the existence of a Glastonbury Boots could be for their company. Please sign if you haven't yet and please share, share, share!
