Save the Signal Box
The Issue
Detail Architecture have submitted plans to Glasgow City Council hoping to demolish The Signal Bar on Fulton Street, Temple and replace it with flats.
The Signal Box was first built in 1971 by Tennents Caledonian Brewries as railway themed bar. As in many small and tightknit communities The Siggy would quickly become the heart of it.
If Glasgow City Council approve these plans to demolish the pub they will also be demolishing the heart of Temple and Shafton.
Although the building is in a poor state visually, it is structurally sound.
we’re calling on Glasgow City Council to reject the plans and secure the future of this vital community facility.
