Give us closure on the rushed writing of season five of Stranger Things

The Issue

The Duffer Brothers have significantly decreased the quality of writing in the fifth season of the horror/coming-of-age series Stranger Things. Many fans of the show have noticed the rushed writing and many plot holes. This has an effect on the audience by showing that the creators of the show no longer care about the viewer’s experience and punish the viewers for paying attention. Looking on social media will provide countless accounts of fans stating that the narrative design and execution of the beloved series was extremely low-quality, especially compared to earlier seasons. Many posts on social media back up the idea that the audience feels betrayed by the lack of effort, which discourages people caring about shows like this in the future. We ask the Duffer Brothers, the creators of the show, to give the audience of the show closures on characters, relationships, plot points, etc. that they completely abandoned. We do not deserve the low-effort writing that is apparent this season, and we need to push the Duffer Brothers to explain what the show didn’t manage to.
