Hey everyone,

Article: Ofgem to Require Energy Suppliers to Offer Low Standing Charge Tariffs

Article: Dieselgate High Court trial begins Monday 13 October

Uswitch: Save over £150 a year with E.ON Next

Join a Claim: Check if your old diesel cars are eligible for £000's compensation each from the ongoing High Court Diesel-gate trials

A couple of bits today. I wanted to remind you all that Ofgem have a consultation on forcing suppliers to introduce a low-or-no standing charge tariff which closes on 22 October. The article above gives information on what they are doing with this consultation, I'll be sending my response to Ofgem on this consultation tomorrow and will provide you guys a link to that response either tomorrow or Monday. Also, I've included a link to Uswitch for energy price comparison above, if you haven't switched to a fixed tariff yet this year, now is a good time!

Speaking of Monday, the UK high court trial for Dieselgate is finally starting on Monday! I've written a bit of a summary article above, plus there is a link to join the legal claim if you owned a diesel car between 2008 and 2020.

Important note: Any compensation that is assigned by the courts will be paid PER CAR not per person, so if you've had multiple diesel cars over the last two decades please check each using the second link above, i.e. enter one registration plate, go through the process then start again so that each car is registered in the class action lawsuit.

Thanks all, have a good weekend.
