For years, Kingston Communications have had the monopoly and the power of the internet in the Hull area. It has and is restricting the people of Hull from being able to choose what Internet provider to use. In the wake of Hull City being broadcast on BT for the Semi Final of the FA Cup, those unable to afford to go to wembley for example, are unable to in their own homes watch the match live due to not having access to BT Sport. Had the people of Hull had the choice like every other place in the country, those who would have selected the BT broadband package would have been able to tune in and watch the game for free. It is about time the people of the city of culture 2017 had the option of which internet service provider to use, whether it is BT, Virgin Media, Sky, TalkTalk etc. Its time the people of Hull had a choice!!!
