We, the fans of Dragon Ball, respectfully ask that Dragon Ball Super Remake receive a distinctive English-dub music experience inspired by the qualities that made the classic Bruce Faulconer era of Dragon Ball Z so memorable.

We are not asking for the original Japanese score to be removed or disrespected. We are asking for an additional English dub exclusive musical identity that complements the existing music and gives the English version its own sonic character.

 

### What We Are Asking For

We would love to see a new, modern score for the English dub that draws inspiration from the distinctive qualities of the Bruce Faulconer era while developing them into something fresh and original.

 

The soundtrack could incorporate:

- Otherworldly science-fiction synths and futuristic electronic textures

- Dark, atmospheric ambient soundscapes

- Deep electronic bass and powerful low-end tones

- Industrial and electronic percussion

- Synth-driven action and battle music

- Distorted and electric guitar elements

- Eerie, cosmic soundscapes that evoke the vastness of space

- Progressive, experimental, and unconventional electronic compositions

The goal is not to recreate Bruce Faulconer's music note-for-note or simply bring back the soundtrack of the past.

With gods, deities, otherworldly realms, and cosmic powers now playing such a major role in Dragon Ball, this is an opportunity to create a soundtrack that makes the universe feel enormous, mysterious, futuristic, supernatural, intense, and truly otherworldly.

We believe a new score inspired by these elements could give the English dub its own powerful musical identity while complementing the original Japanese soundtrack rather than replacing or diminishing it.

 

 

### Why it is the perfect opportunity

Beerus, Whis, the Gods of Destruction, Super Saiyan God, and the larger Dragon Ball universe introduce a much more cosmic atmosphere than earlier arcs.

An atmospheric electronic/synth-based score could complement that world exceptionally well.

 

 

### Give fans a choice

Ideally, we would love to see the English release offer options such as:

Japanese/original audio + original score

and

English dub + an English-dub-exclusive score

This would allow everyone to experience Dragon Ball the way they prefer.

The Bruce Faulconer era demonstrated that an English-language Dragon Ball soundtrack can develop a passionate following of its own. Many fans still listen to that music decades later because it created an atmosphere that was unlike almost anything else in anime.

We believe Dragon Ball Super Remake deserves the opportunity to create a new musical identity for a new generation.

We respectfully ask Funimation, Crunchyroll and Toei Animation and the English-language production team to consider commissioning a talented composer or music production team to create a modern, atmospheric, electronic, sci-fi-inspired score specifically for the English dub.

We are not asking for a replacement of the original Japanese soundtrack.

We are not asking for a copy of Bruce Faulconer's music.

We are asking for a new evolution of that sound one that takes the atmospheric synths, electronic elements, powerful percussion, experimental textures, and otherworldly feeling that defined the Faulconer era and reimagines them for modern Dragon Ball.
