I am a great admirer of Jane Porter, the often-underappreciated companion of Tarzan in his jungle adventures. Jane is a character who embodies resilience, intelligence, and unwavering love. Despite being a quintessential part of the Tarzan series, Jane's story has often been overlooked or minimized in the many adaptations of Edgar Rice Burroughs' iconic series.

However, signs of change are on the horizon. Jane recently received her long-deserved focus in the novel "Jane: The Woman Who Loved Tarzan." Additionally, the new online comic strip "Jane Porter Untamed" has given Jane the primary focus. These steps show that the public is ready and excited to see Jane take center stage. The character's depth, strength, and determination, as well as her transformation into a jungle heroine, deserve to be highlighted.

Yet, a significant gap remains in cinematic representation. While there have been dozens of Tarzan movies over the years, Jane rarely gets a chance to shine. She deserves her own film, not just as Tarzan's wife but as a heroine in her own right. By doing so, we provide a well-rounded and empowering image of Jane, inspiring countless people across different walks of life. Interestingly, in an interview about the movie "The Legend of Tarzan," they mentioned about the possibilities of a sequel. One of the concepts they mentioned was Jane being the jungle heroine this time. I would've loved to see that happen!! (Actually I heard it might've been just a joke but I don't know for sure.) Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there will be a sequel since it didn't do so well at the box office. There hasn't been any confirmations recently and it's already been a decade since the movie was released!! I really wished they did The Legend of Tarzan 2!! It deserves and needs a sequel very much! However, Sony recently announced they have a new Tarzan movie in the works and will supposedly be a new modern take on the legendary character. While I'm very excited about it, I'm not sure how big Jane's role will be and if she'll even be a jungle heroine.

A standalone Jane Porter film is not only warranted but long overdue. This petition calls on filmmakers, movie studios, and production companies to step up. Produce a movie that fully realizes Jane, the true soulmate of Tarzan.
