6 out of 7 CFISD board members have voted to get rid of bus service for certain areas. If you are 2 miles or less away from a middle/high school, or if you are 1 mile or less from an elementary school, you are denied bus service. Most parents have jobs and cannot take/pick up their kids to and from school. Kids may have to walk on busy roads in ditches because they don’t have sidewalks. All this can lead to a major “incident”. The reason all of this is happening is because CFISD is facing a major debt that was revealed to have been known by the board, yet they didn’t prepare. Despite this, CFISD hired someone that does TED talks for 30,000 dollars to come and speak in front of new staff members.
