Most students have little to no say on what happens even in their own classrooms. We all have a voice and it needs to be heard.

According to the 1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, we have the right of freedom of speech and expression. In 1969, the Supreme Court ruled that "students do not shed their natural rights at the schoolhouse gate." The higher-ups of education have no right to simply ignore us.

Recently, my county had a petition to cancel school due to dangerous weather. Out of the 25,000 students and staff, over 10,000 signed and the county still did nothing. It is time to change this. You have a voice. Use it.
