I am so happy to be updating you all with Sasha's wonderful news that she shared with everyone last night! Please read her words below: 'I'm extremely pleased, relieved, exasperated, delighted, anxious, tearful but most of all heart wrenchingly happy to inform you all that because of all your hard work, love, tears, strength, sheer determination and people power from not only here but across the country, across the globe in fact.... we - YOU - have been able to put a SUBSTANTIAL deposit down on my 2nd transplant... Unfortunately due to reasons far beyond anything we or I could control the transplant WILL be done at Kings (which I'm so pleased about as there was a point where I thought this wasn't going to happen at all....) BUT - it is under PRIVATE care and not the NHS! This did cause problems, headaches, heartaches and wasn't expected but the Private International Team have tried to help us resolve these issues and in light of the fundraising events that have just happened and are about to happen, WILL ENSURE the transplant WILL be able to be PAID for in FULL and hopefully leave us with enough to cover our expenses while I'm in there for the month and some of my recovery....... THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE DONE.... THIS IS WHAT THE POWER OF LOVE CAN DO THE 20th FEBRUARY ADMISSION 21st FEBRUARY START CHEMO AND 1ST MARCH FOR TRANSPLANT! (Yes these are my provisional dates to start to help me save my life and for me to show along with a few lucky others that 2nd transplants do work! We are worth it!) I'd like to ask anyone going forward to know that after all monies are recovered up to 20th/ the admission date... I will be closing the go fund me account as the transplant will have to have been paid by this date so anything after that please note will only be being donated towards helping us with the expenses that come with this type of situation..... I already would like to say Thank you to everyone who has asked to donate to my family in expectancies of what's to come throughout my recovery, I can't thank you enough for not only wanting to save my life but to make sure I don't have any stress while I try and recover after the transplant and I thank the people who have set up "Cash for Sash" events in the months after treatment in sight of what struggles recovery brings.....We are truly, forever grateful and can't thank you enough ❤️❤️' This is truly amazing and as Sasha says none of it would have been possible without you guys, we have shown that although the government do not think so, we know that Sasha IS worth it! Everyone deserves the right to be able to LIVE! While Sasha is having her treatment and recovering I will be putting a plan of action together regarding the petition, we will hopefully be looking to deliver the petition to parliament at some point, so please keep sharing and getting as many signatures as possible. I personally would like to thank each and everyone of you for supporting us all the way, your responses to my updates have been incredible and we shall carry on fighting! I have watched the turmoil and stress that this battle has caused Sasha and we will do our very best not to let anyone have to face this in the future! It has opened my eyes and warmed my heart to see the lengths that people will go to, to help save a life, I am truly humbled. THANK YOU! www.gofundme.com/rvg4m54m
