Give Niger Clean Water

Give Niger Clean Water
The Issue
In Niger, only 56% of the population has access to drinking water, only 13% has access to basic sanitation services, and only 22.7% of the schools have access to drinking water. Most of these people walk hours to get access to water. This not only is hard and laborious but is continuously affecting children's education, especially girls. They have to walk long hours with their mom to go find dirty water that will only leave them thirsty and longing for more. This causes them to skip school on most days or even quit it in order to help continue the survival of their family.
My name is Ted Yun, and I would like to raise the awareness of this growing problem. People in Niger do not have access to the clean water that most of us do. Even the people who do have access to water have to walk hours in order to get just a bucket full of water. We must solve this problem in order to move on into the next stage of development as a world together.
