This year's tournament made it painfully obvious that a shot clock is necessary. Too often, teams were milking single digit leads with 2, 3, 4, or more minutes left on the clock. One team was stalling in the 3rd quarter up 5!

In talking to people this week, it became clear that the hurdles are not as high as you might think they are. 

The people preventing this might be in the majority in their small circle of 130 ADs making decisions, but let's show them they're in the minority among the people who buy tickets and t-shirts and multiple streaming packages just to watch the game we love. And let's make sure they know that Maine deserves 32 minutes of basketball, not 28 minutes of basketball and 4 minutes of boredom.
