We need a separate faster light rail like the Savannahlander outside of the tourist train hours for public use to reduce traffic on the range road or at the very least, the option for public transport prices on the Tourist train in the mean time.
The public health, safety and leisure aspect for local communities to have alternative access to services is also important.
It is not just about bringing tourists to Kuranda.
It's about locals utilising an alternative mode to travelling the range road at public transport prices. After all, we as taxpayers of the exorbitant amount of money spent to bring tourists up to Kuranda, should also have access to use the service.
Not all Kuranda locals operate businesses in Kuranda. Everyone should have access.
