Give fair Trials Season 5 players a path to the Scorta ranks they were priced out of
The Issue
Embark,
Trials Season 5 is a competitive ladder. Rank is supposed to come from what you extract with on the weekly cards — caches, husks, specific ARC, specific weapons and grenades. For fair players that also means a second job at the bench: Light Impact Grenades, Blaze Grenades, Pop Triggers, the right ammo, the kits you have to rebuild after a bad extract.
That loop is the game you designed. It is not the loop a lot of lobbies actually ran.
Players who used cheats, duplication, or third-party markets did not craft those supplies. They bought or printed them, took full trial kits into more raids, posted higher personal bests, and took promotions in 100-player divisions from people who paid in materials. After the 2x map-condition multiplier was removed, the only remaining shortcut was an unfair stash. That is not a skill gap. It is an economy gap sitting on top of a ranked mode.
A second shortcut sat on top of that. All season, third-party Cantina boosts sold the rank itself: accounts handed over or carried so someone else could bank the weekly scores and lock Hotshot or Cantina Legend before the window closed. Fair players were not only out-supplied on grenades. They were scored against accounts that never ran their own cards.
You already return kits when a confirmed cheater knocks someone out. That does not fix a season of trials where the person next to you on the division board never spent a Chemical or a Plastic Part.
We are not asking you to reconstruct every trade or to guess who gifted a friend. We are asking for an equitable opportunity for unflagged accounts that actually played Trials this season:
1. A Scorta catch-up grant after Season 5 closes, tied to participation (weeks with a banked Trials score), not to final rank — so players who ran the cards fair can still claim the base Scorta and the common variants that sit on Tryhard / Wildcard, instead of watching those pieces go only to stashes that never touched a bench.
2. Do not treat Hotshot / Cantina Legend colors as automatically granted. Those should stay earned. The ask is the mid-track set most committed fair players were climbing toward and could not hold because they were out-supplied.
3. A public note that Trials loadouts are meant to be crafted and extracted, and that mass third-party supply of trial consumables is an integrity problem for a ranked mode, not a supported shortcut.
Season 5 ends September 30. There is no time left to “just grind more.” A catch-up after the fact is how you keep the Scorta from becoming a souvenir of who skipped the workshop.
We want the ranks to mean we played the cards. Let the people who crafted the grenades still stand in the outfit.
