The Issue

To: DoorDash Leadership and the Dasher Experience Team

We, the undersigned DoorDash Dashers, are asking DoorDash to introduce a simple but important feature in the Dasher app: the ability to enable or disable stacked offers at any time.

The Problem

DoorDash Dashers are independent contractors who use their own vehicles, pay for their own fuel and maintenance, and bear the costs associated with every delivery.

Yet Dashers can be presented with multiple orders bundled into a single offer, even when they would prefer to accept individual deliveries.

Stacked offers can combine orders with very different payouts, distances, restaurant wait times, and delivery difficulties. A seemingly worthwhile offer can become significantly less attractive when one order adds substantial mileage, delays the other customer's delivery, or sends the Dasher far outside their preferred delivery area.

Dashers should not have to choose between accepting an unwanted combination of orders and declining the entire offer.

What We Are Asking For

We respectfully ask DoorDash to implement the following changes:

1. An optional stacked-offer toggle: Allow Dashers to enable or disable offers containing multiple orders directly in the Dasher app.

2. Individual offers by default when stacks are disabled: Dashers who opt out should receive eligible single-order offers rather than bundled offers.

3. No acceptance-rate penalty for opting out: Choosing a delivery preference should not negatively affect a Dasher's acceptance rate or eligibility for rewards.

4. The ability to change preferences anytime: Dashers should be able to turn stacked offers on or off before or during a dash, subject to reasonable safeguards for orders already accepted.

5. Fair and transparent compensation: When Dashers choose to accept stacked offers, DoorDash should clearly display the total payout, combined mileage, delivery requirements, and the individual payout breakdown for each order before acceptance.

Why This Matters

This is not a demand to eliminate stacked orders. Many Dashers appreciate them when the pay, mileage, and route make sense.

This is a demand for CHOICE.

Some Dashers prefer multiple deliveries, while others need to evaluate each order independently to manage fuel costs, vehicle wear and tear, delivery times, and profitability.

Giving Dashers control over their preferences could help improve driver satisfaction, reduce unwanted declines, and support more reliable service for customers.

DoorDash already recognizes the value of delivery preferences through features that allow eligible Dashers to opt in or out of certain offer types. Extending that flexibility to stacked offers is a reasonable next step.

Our Message to DoorDash

If DoorDash wants to support independent contractors, it should give them meaningful control over the types of offers they receive.

We are not asking DoorDash to stop offering stacked orders. We are asking DoorDash to let each Dasher decide whether they want them.

One toggle. Two choices. A better experience for Dashers and customers alike.

We call on DoorDash to listen to its Dasher community and implement an optional stacked-offer setting in the Dasher app.

Please support this petition by signing and sharing it with fellow Dashers.

Let Dashers choose. Let Dashers decide.
