     We are players and lifelong Halo fans, and we are writing in the spirit of constructive feedback — not as critics of your team’s work, but as people who care deeply about this franchise. We are asking you to revisit Cortana’s in-game model before Halo: Campaign Evolved launches.
Since 2001, Cortana has been the emotional center of Halo — the voice in the Chief’s head and one of gaming’s most recognizable AI characters. A remake of the game that introduced her carries a real responsibility to honor what made her iconic.
You’ve already shown us the better version.

Your own official concept art for Campaign Evolved — Cortana beside the Chief, luminous, translucent, edged in blue-and-gold glow and traced with holographic data-lines — is exactly what we’re hoping for. She reads instantly as a projection of light and data standing next to a solid, physical Chief, and the contrast is the whole point. The shipped in-game model loses that holographic identity in favor of grounded photorealism, which leaves her feeling more like a person in the room than the AI she is.

What we’re asking for:

 1. Bring the final model closer to your own concept art— restoring the luminosity, translucency, and data-line detailing that define her as a holographic AI.
 2. Prioritize artistic identity over raw realism, so she looks like a projection rather than an actor in a cutscene.
 3. Consider an optional “Classic Cortana” appearance honoring her original Combat Evolved look.
Why we’re speaking up now, and clearly:
We say this with respect and with no ill will toward anyone at the studio: many of us have decided to hold off on pre-ordering or purchasing Campaign Evolved until Cortana’s design is addressed. This isn’t anger — it’s the most honest signal we can offer. We want to buy this game. We want it to succeed. We are simply asking that the version of Cortana we bring home matches the one you’ve already proven you can create.
A remake is a rare second chance to get an icon right. The right version is already in your hands. Please put her in the game — and we’ll be first in line.
