Give Bow Brickhill a regular bus route
The Issue
The residents of Bow Brickhill and surrounding areas deserve a regular bus route. As Milton Keynes expands further and with developments beginning locally. It is important that we have more access to transport which is why I’m proposing a regular bus route that services Bow Brickhill and surrounding areas like Woburn Sands and Bletchley.
With the recent warehouse developments and the Red Bull Technologies Centre, it is important that we are cutting down on pollution from the future influx of people travelling to the area, especially in a rural, eco-diverse area like Bow Brickhill.
Therefore, a bus route would give the community a reliable and more environmentally-friendly way to travel to work, contribute to the local economy and help residents to traverse Milton Keynes.
This will help older residents, who cannot drive or have mobility issues, get around Milton Keynes as well as incentivise the community to be using greener forms of transport along with the Marston Vale Line or help those who may struggle with technology accessing MK Connect.
This will contribute to Milton Keynes by getting more of its residents to use public transportation, enfranchising local communities with infrastructure and helping to move us to reach the Council’s Net Zero Target in 2030.
If you agree that we need better transport in our community, please sign.
