Give Back Goodwill Dressing Rooms!

The Issue

I am a person who cares for the environment, so I love thrift shopping. You can find a lot of cool stuff that’s still in good condition, and by buying it secondhand you are having a positive impact on the world. However, Goodwill doesn’t allow use of dressing rooms to make sure items fit before you buy them.
This policy was created during Covid to reduce the spread, but now that the pandemic is far less severe, the restrictions should be removed. How often have you decided not to buy clothing secondhand because you knew it was unlikely to fit you? How often do you go to a larger store and pay more for a pair of jeans because you don’t want the hassle of returning an ill-fitting pair?
I recently went to a Goodwill to buy new work pants. It’s imperative that my work pants are long enough to cover my shoes so that metal shards don’t fall into them. Without trying on new pants with my work shoes, I have no guarantee that they will do the job. This makes it not only frustrating, but also potentially harmful to me if I buy a pair of pants that don’t fit.
If Goodwill brings back their dressing rooms, not only will their business increase, but it will save you so much time in the store. Not to mention you can take pictures in the mirrors to get a second opinion on how well an item suits you.
