I was arrested in April 2021 for federal drug charges. In November 2021 o was released to a pretrial treatment center. I completed this treatment that lasted until January 2022. I was released to continue pretrial release in January 2022. I immediately was employed and started my aftercare. I was on strict rules and scheduling. Around May 2022 I completed my aftercare and enrolled into Mental Health counseling. I have been keeping up with my fees and my bills. I was addicted since 2002 on meth. I have a horrible criminal history however now that I am sober and mature, my sobriety is my focus because without it I wouldn't be here with my 2 and 3 year old. They are so attached to me and I am so attached to them. I have never in my life tried so hard to be a good father, son, partner, uncle or brother. My mind is not fogged up or selfish how it used to be. I know my kids are the ones that are gonna feel abandoned by me when I have to go to prison. I just wish that the way they focus on the past if they can focus on the now and see the change that some us do and how hard we try when we have finally overcame that addiction. I am asking for help to get this started and see what we can do for the ones that put in the work to change and become a productive member to society. I feel that if we get this petition through we can help those that struggle with drug addiction and that gives us all an incentive to become better and do right with our families
