Right now the monthly child checks will end in December and because of dysfunction in Congress, the checks might stop forever. That means we must turn up the pressure to ensure these monthly checks keep arriving in bank accounts. 

We have done this before  and we need to do it again, so take a moment  to post a comment on these specific Senators’ Facebook pages. We need them to be reminded that families are relying on these child checks. Here are the 3 Senators who need an extra push on this issue:

Manchin (WV)  |  Tester (MT)  |  Hassan (NH) 

Make a comment like, “My family needs the Child Tax Credit to continue past December because _______. Senator, you have the power to make this happen and millions of Americans are counting on you. Please support extending the Child Tax Credit. #childtaxcredit” 

Part of the expansion of child checks means families that earn too little to owe any federal income tax receive the credit as a direct monthly payment. This is one of the major reasons the child checks are so impactful in moving families out of poverty.
