I have been supporting the work of Economic Security Project in finding people like you to be on calls with Senators because of the power your stories hold.  There has been a moment on each call we have made where it becomes clear to the representative or staffer that the programs aren't working as they should, and that small businesses are truly on the edge of collapse. For every office that we've talked to, your stories have opened the door wider than before. 

The good news is there are a number of lawmakers who support our call for monthly checks. Almost 100 members of Congress are standing with us. We need to grow their ranks by continuing the pressure, and right now that means talking with these 3 senators who are on the fence. These senators have all expressed support for small businesses, and we want them to be sure to hear directly from us that it's going to take more than the PPP, EIDL advance and other assistance programs. Nothing is going to solve this but all can work together so we can see a path forward.

We need direct cash and we need to let them know why one single check isn’t going to cut it. Can we convince them? I think your stories can.  

We need our leaders to agree to monthly payments – at least until this crisis is over. We can win this, but we have to keep pushing. What can you do if you are not a business owner in one of those states? Pass this on in your network - chances are you are connected with someone who is!
