Here’s the update: Both the House and Senate - Democrats and Republicans - are only proposing ONE more payment. But you and I know one more check is not enough. Congress and the White House need to hear from us. Let’s reach out to our Senators and Representatives directly right now. The Democratic leaders in the House proposed and passed one more $1,200 payment, but they at least made more Americans eligible. The Senate then decided to keep only one payment, but drastically reduced the number of families who would get the check, at the same time they are cutting unemployment benefits and sending more money to those who are doing the best financially. This is backwards.

We need regular payments. Our family, and yours, need more help and consistent help in this crisis. I don’t know about you but planning on how we will pay our bills each month is our top priority right now.  Together we have been carrying this message for months through every twist and turn this terrible pandemic has led us. We’ve put up a TV ad, we’ve made phone calls, and we can’t give up now.

We need to keep up the pressure and tell leadership in Congress and the White House that one single check isn’t going to cut it. We need our leaders to agree to monthly payments – at least until this crisis is over.  

The good news is there are a number of lawmakers who support our call for monthly checks. Almost 100 members of Congress are standing with us. We need to grow their ranks.
