To stop using palm oil is important because to make palm oil, industries are cutting down the rain forests of Borneo and Sumatra to make plantations. When they do this, it destroys the Orangutan's forest home as well as a number of different animals including, birds, proboscis monkeys, clouded leopard and many, many more. The rain forest is our earth's lungs as well as homes to people and animals. We need our forest just as much as those animals need their homes.

Signing the petition will let Girl Scouts -- and Kellogg's, their cookie maker -- know that people don't want palm oil in the cookies.
