Did you know in 1946 Girl Guides of Canada (GGC) introduced vanilla cream, maple cream and shortbread cookies. (GGC cookie history). These flavours were eventually replaced by the traditional vanilla and chocolate cookies that we love today.  

Maple syrup is a Canadian staple and we should honour that. Every one likes cookies and every one likes maple so maple cookies make good Canadian sense!  We would like to ask GGC to bring back the maple cookies.

In the United States they have approximately 28 flavors. Although the mint chocolate and traditional chocolate and vanilla cookies are delicious we think it would be awesome to add the the maple cookies to the Canadian cookie roster. All the people in our Girl Guide unit said they would buy them!  Help us convince GGC to bring back the maple cookies by signing our petition!
