Change Rhode Island's Tourism Campaign

Change Rhode Island's Tourism Campaign
The Issue
Governor Raimondo announced on Monday, March 28, that the old slogan, "Discover Beautiful Rhode Island," will be replaced with, "Rhode Island: Cooler and Warmer."
Governor Raimondo and The Rhode Island Commerce Corporation then released a promotional video that included stock footage of Iceland as part of this new $5 million tourism campaign.
Since "Cooler and Warmer" (and the image associated with it) doesn't make sense to us Rhode Islanders, how can this attract future businesses and tourist to the Ocean State? Let's come together to ensure that:
- we are heard
- to express our disappointment and embarrassment
- to stop this campaign from being launched
This botched campaign is even now drawing national negative attention to our state from news sources like CNN.
