Please take the Pledge and sign the Petition! Keep Babylon United, Not Divided!

The Issue

Dear Town Of Babylon Residents:

Keep Babylon United, Not Divided! Please take the Pledge and Sign this Petition! I pledge to stand against any attempt to divide the Town against itself. I believe the Town Of Babylon is stronger in unity and will
work to oppose any attempt to sow division amongst our communities
through the use of Council Districts

Over the past several years, we have worked in partnership to bring
the hamlets and Villages that make up the Town of Babylon together in
the name of strength through unity. As we travel throughout our town,
we can see the positive results and feel the energy of a Town united
by its common goal of protecting our quality of life through joint
efforts like:

** Our Chambers of Commerce networking and discussing common issues
affecting our Main Streets and downtowns, increasing beautification
and rentals of commercial properties.

** Our anti-drug abuse coalitions coming together to share ideas and
strategies to combat the heroin and opioid epidemic.

** Our Fire Departments, rescue departments and town Chiefs' Council
protecting us through the worst natural disaster to hit our town in a
generation in Superstorm Sandy and coordinating fundraising efforts to
help those families who are still recovering from the devastation.

** Our Veterans organizations working together to serve our retired
and returning veterans through outreach efforts, fundraising efforts
and advocacy efforts, making our town one of the biggest contributors
to organizations that serve our service men and women.

** Our Town and Village governments putting politics aside and working
across our borders in order to properly serve all of our residents no
matter where they live.

Now, a political operative named Nick LaLota is planning to destroy
all of the progress we have made, by tearing our Town apart. He is
ready to launch a petition drive for the THIRD TIME that would break
our town into council districts, in essence dividing our town and
splitting us apart, pitting each district against the others. Under
the current system, all of our residents enjoy the representation of
all five town elected officials (Supervisor and four council members)
LaLota's plan would destroy our unified approach to governing and
working together for the entire Town.

But you can help stop Nick LaLota and his cynical plan to put politics
front and center in Town government. You can join the grassroots
effort to KEEP BABYLON UNITED NOT DIVIDED! We are starting a movement
to bring all of our residents together to let Nick LaLota know that he
can not destroy our unity and all of the progress we have made.
Lalota will have people going door to door over the next three weeks
asking for your signature on a petition. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN THIS
PETITION!

If you have any questions, comments or would like to join our effort,
please do not hesitate to call Rich Schaffer cell number (516-429-3763) or
email (rich.suffolk@gmail.com.) Rich looks forward to working with you to
keep our town united, NOT divided!
