The mobile phone network, Giffgaff try to promote themselves as an ethical brand yet they have continually donated money to medical research charities on behalf of their members.

Every six month money is donated to a different charity. When they first raised money for Cancer Research UK the issue was raised by some of it's members. This was ignored and in December £32,000 was donated to the British Heart Foundation.

These Charities carry out and unnecessary experiments carried out on animals. Not only is animal research harmful to animals, it is also potentially harmful to people. Animals do not get the same diseases as we do, and different species react very differently to drugs and procedures. Drugs that are shown to be safe in animals have often later proved to be dangerous in humans, while valuable cures and treatments can be missed if they fail in animal tests.
