Water is life, conserve to save creation! Let’s move together to Save Nallagandla Lake!

We are a group of like-minded individuals driven by the need to conserve the natural ecosystem around the area, Nallagandla. Of immediate importance is the Nallagandla Lake, The Nallagandla Lake has totally dried up due to lack of timely conservation efforts. Over the past one year we have been requesting GHMC to carry out restoration efforts.

We have been informed by the office of the Chief Engineer that an amount of Rs. 228 Lakhs has been sanctioned for the restoration and beautification of the Nallagandla Lake and a foundation stone has been put up. 

We would like to appreciate GHMC for ensuring there is no encroachment of the Nallagandla Lake and for sanctioning the amount for restoration. However we would like GHMC to take the actions and act on the plan for restoration work of Nallagandla Lake without any further delay.

We would request GHMC to let us know the following

1. What are the activities for which this amount will be used, and the funds allocation breakup activity wise?

2. When will the activities be carried out – weekly or monthly schedule? 

3. Who will be the responsible GHMC officer to ensure that the activities are carried out as per quality and plan and on schedule mentioned in point no. 2?

4. How can citizens of the area help in monitoring and participating in the activities?
