We, the friends and family of Bentley,  would like to ask for your help in approving the Comprehensive Cannabis Bill in the state of West Virginia. My 4 year old grandson, Bentley, has a rare genetic disorder called Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome. One common factor of this syndrome is 90% of the children with this disorder have seizures and are medicated to try to control them. One medication that my grandson is on is Valporic Acid, and there are many side effects that come along with it, including low blood platelets which he was admitted to the hospital last week for. He is also on Keppra.   My daughter, (Bentley's mother), and I are both members of a support group for Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome. There are families from all over the world that we have became acquainted with over the last 4 years. Many children, who have the same syndrome, and live in other US states are on some type of CBD or hemp oil that drastically reduces the seizure activity. I have researched  that medical marijuana can help so many other patients facing anything from the chronic pain of cancer, to arthritis and autism. I am asking that you please take all this into consideration and help my grandson, and anyone else who would benefit from the bill being passed.
