Wicked wasn’t nominated for any Oscar’s, not even make up of costume design! This is an outrage to humanity. Wicked is a wonderful movie that inspires us to fight for what we believe in, break free of societal constraints, and look out for our friends and community. Shouldn’t such an amazing movie get recognition?Some people don’t think so. 

wicked for good has everything. Love triangles, action, music, heartbreak, friendship, and even betrayal, it is elegible for many Oscars. I understand that not many sequels are nominated, but wicked for good isn’t a sequel, it is a necessary conclusion to an incomplete movie. Imagine wicked ending on defying gravity! Kinda sad right, no clue what’s  next for Elphaba? We also need songs like no good deed, as long as you’re mine, and for good.

cynthia Erivo is a vocal powerhouse, and Ariana grande brings humor and emotion to the role of Glinda. Supporting actors and actresses, such as Jonathan Bailey, Michelle yeoh Jeff goldblume, Ethan slater, Bowen yang, Marfisa bode, and Bronwyn James add skill and character to their roles even the ensemble, such as the munchkins are carefully selected, resulting in a beautiful sounding choir with a diverse range of voices.

   From Elphaba growing confidence to glindas emotional journey, wicked teaches us that people can change, for better and for worse. This is a powerful message inside and outside of the theatre that we shouldn’t judge someone before we know them.

.Some critics say that wicked for good lacks the raw emotion of the first movie, but this is simply untrue. Wicked should be nominated for costume design, for the Easter eggs and creativity, best original song for girl in the bubble and no place like home, or even best picture or actress for Cynthia’s and Ariana’s amazing performances. Cynthia and Ariana will bring tears to the eyes of anyone who witnessed for good, and Jonathan Bailey adds charisma to as long as you’re mine and a wicked good finale. Jon m chu and Stephen Schwartz made an amazing soundtrack and added character to the movies many sets. Wicked is my favorite movie, because it features two amazing actresses, breaks free of feminine stereotypes, encourages us to be accepting, and empowers us to fight for what we believe in. If wicked were to get nominated for an Oscar, than an amazing movie would get the recognition it deserves. 

Make them pay for what they did to my favorite movie.
