Mohawk College lacks resources to safely dispose of needles and other biohazardous material. Mohawk College prides itself on having an inclusive and welcoming community. The unsafe disposal of needles have been recognized by the college as they have placed stickers informing students to not flush needles down the toilet, there just has not been any proper action that has been taken. We are hoping to put pressure on Mohawk College to provide these sharps containers to include people who need to dispose of needles for whatever reason. This affects more than just the people who are using needles, it affects all of us as a community.  This helps to create a safer environment for all that are on campus.
