Get rid of exams

Get rid of exams
The Issue
The education system has not been drastically upgraded for decades, that (hopefully) changes now.
The Examination process is one of the most, if not the most, inefficient means of demonstration of a students' knowledge, more contemporary and student focused means need to be adopted to allow for proper grading of a student. A more American approach could be a start with constant grading throughout the year and a GPA.
Also adopting a means for which does not harm a student's mental health as much as the immense amount of stress the Examination process accumulates.
Also the education system and Examination process is way too formal and archaic, with having students at the fore focus means communicating with a more relaxed, personal, informal approach which allows for a better connection between students and the curriculum.
Speaking of the curriculum, it needs to include the studies of current social issues and subsequent social action on these issues is a paramount inclusion as it allows for a connection for students between education and the wider current world and allowing for them to have a hand in creating the world they will be inheriting. The curriculum needs to be modernised in terms of introduction of new subjects/lessons such as social media studies, real world skills (taxes, driving, home ec, etc) and modern history.
All of this is the views of an A-level student about to take his exams
