BRONX SCIENCE BANNED ALL DEVICES!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLS HELP

We just found out that Bronx Science has now implemented a complete ban on all Wi-Fi-capable devices during the school day. This goes far beyond a phone ban. Phones, laptops, tablets, and other devices that can connect to Wi-Fi are now restricted.

This is especially concerning for seniors who are currently applying to college. College applications require students to spend hours writing essays, filling out applications, checking emails, researching colleges, submitting documents, and managing deadlines online. The school does provide some devices, but there are a limited number available, meaning they may not be accessible to every student when they need one. Students should not have to compete for a school-provided device just to complete their college applications.

And this doesn't only affect seniors. Students use their devices to check assignments, access online resources, communicate with family, manage schedules, and work during free periods. A complete ban removes these options even when students are not in class.

We understand the need to prevent distractions during instruction. But there is a huge difference between restricting devices during class and banning every Wi-Fi-capable device throughout the school day. Many schools focus their restrictions on phones, rather than banning all personal technology.

We believe Bronx Science should reconsider this policy and create a balanced approach that prevents distractions during class while allowing students to use technology responsibly during appropriate times, especially when they need it for schoolwork and college applications.
