Get Hyperia a backwards seat
The Issue
As a dedicated UK coaster enthusiast, I strongly urge Thorpe Park to consider adding a backwards seat to the Hyperia rollercoaster.
Thorpe Park has previously teased the idea of a backwards seat in their YouTube channel, and I believe this is the perfect time to follow through on this concept. The addition of a backwards seat would not only diversify the ride experience but would also align with similar developments at other parks. For instance, the DC Rivals Hypercoaster at Warner Bros. Movie World, which shares the same model and manufacture (MACK Rides), includes a backwards seat that has been highly praised by guests.

Implementing a backwards seat on Hyperia would bring a fresh element to the coaster, allowing fans to experience the ride in a completely different way, with intensified drops, airtime, and inversions. Additionally, Thorpe Park could capitalise on this new offering by charging a premium for the backwards seat, which would create an exclusive experience while increasing the park’s revenue potential.
This addition would not only enhance the overall guest experience but also elevate Hyperia’s position as the best coaster in the UK. I strongly believe that adding a backwards seat would be a significant improvement and a welcomed innovation at Thorpe Park.
