The Issue

Hootsuite is a Vancouver-based company that is working with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In March, they doubled down on the decision to work with ICE by saying that they as a company did nothing wrong.

In September, they signed another agreement to continue to do more work with ICE, as shown on the United States System for Award Management.

At the same time, Amnesty International published a report demanding that ICE be abolished for committing human rights violations.

We believe that it is completely inappropriate for a company to be profiting off of such a cruel organization.

We are asking for the following:

1.) For Hootsuite to cancel the contract with ICE and commit to never working with them again.

2.) For Hootsuite to publicly apologize to the city of Vancouver and condemn ICE and their activities.

3.) For Hootsuite to develop a set of guidelines that will ensure they never work with ICE or similar organizations again.
