HGV drivers were classed as key workers through Covid. And now that has ended their key worker status has ended. 
Highways England are entitled to a blue light card. The fuel they get for their vehicles gets transported to them by a hgv. The salt they use to grit roads gets transported from Winsford in a hgv. 
nhs supplies come transported in hgvs. Care worker ppe gets transported by hgvs. 
why can all other key workers get recognised but yet one of the main ones doesn’t. 
it’s time for a change.
