Get Flock Out of the Tri-Cities

Get Flock Out of the Tri-Cities

The Issue

Flock cameras have been popping up all over the country and as of now, it is nearly impossible to make a single step without these invasive cameras capturing, recording, and sharing it.

These cameras utilize AI, something that the working people have already realized is harmful, both to the environment and to the human race, from replacing human jobs, to destroying communities where the data centers are located.

On a national scale, we are seeing how these cameras and the infomation they're collecting is being abused. Multiple accounts of police officers using them to stalk ex girlfriends and potential partners, false criminal reports being filed, data sharing outside of legal authorization despite flock promising that this is not the case, protester suppression, and more.

In an area like the Tri-Cities, where crime rates have been steadily decreasing every year before the usage of these cameras, the defense that they are meant to prevent crime seems to be a moot point. What these cameras are doing, is invading our privacy and opening us up to our voices, our movements of all kinds being suppressed.

The hope is that with this petition and the urging of the citizens of the local area, the local government will make the decision to have these cameras removed and protect their constituents privacy.  We are not criminals and should not be treated like we already are.
