Going through FCPS's SR&R handbook you will be surprised to find out that there are no explicit rules regarding sexual harassment or assault in the entire handbook (except for a brief mention in the "Important topics to discuss with your child" section). This has led thousands of students who go to the schools corresponding to FCPS to feel unsafe or to be PUT in unsafe situations that go unnoticed.

What we in this petition ask for is that FCPS adds an EXPLICIT rule regarding both sexual assault and sexual HARASSMENT, and/or to be added to the list of reasons that could lead to an expulsion.

"Students have the right to feel safe at school" So act and sign this petition to keep the youth and future of Fairfax safe!!!

Al leer el manual SR&R de FCPS, se sorprenderá al descubrir que no hay reglas explícitas con respecto al acoso o agresión sexual en todo el manual (excepto por una breve mención en la sección "Temas importantes para discutir con su hijo"). Esto ha llevado a que miles de estudiantes que asisten a las escuelas correspondientes a FCPS se sientan inseguros o sean puestos en situaciones inseguras que pasan desapercibidas.

Lo que pedimos en esta petición es que FCPS agregue una regla EXPLÍCITA con respecto tanto a la agresión sexual como al ACOSO sexual, y/o que se agregue a la lista de razones que podrían llevar a una expulsión.
