Get Don Cherry The HHOF Induction

Get Don Cherry The HHOF Induction
Das Problem
Just recently celebrating his 92nd year, it is undeniable he committed at least 91 of those to his love of hockey. Love him, or hate him, nobody can deny his commitment, passion, love and influence on the game of hockey. He was a player, a coach, and very famously known as the personality with the great suits, with the strong, hilarious commentary on Hockey Night in Canada, for many years. His love of the game & Canada are undeniable, needs to be respected, appreciated, and acknowledged, which a well deserved induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame, will respectfully display.
We all know how unjustifiably his career was ended from HNIC, by people that took a phrase "You People" incomprehensibly out of context, in a moment to feel powerful, and destroy a man's legendary career, with no compunction, and without even trying, or being open to understanding who he is, at all.
"You People" was how he referred to EVERYBODY! Always! "You people at home watching this," "You people that don't agree with that call," "You people that think he shouldn't have done that," etc., etc., etc. Watch a couple videos of his history and anyone can figure that out in 5 minutes. Despicable. The only person ever deserving of an apology is Don.
Myself being a Canadian, though for many years an immigrant in a few countries, I agree with his thoughts on how wearing a Poppy is important, and that especially for immigrants, it is only a small gesture of respect, to show the people who fought for the land you now call home. Any country I have ever lived in, I adapted to their culture, not only as a sign of respect, but also out of interest.
Sad to think, that incident may be the only reason his induction has not happened yet, because there cannot be any other.
So, if you think he deserves the induction, and want to help spread the word, regarding the "You people" incident, that was just a normal reference to all people, all the time, repair his legacy and get him the respect and recognition he deserves, please sign and share.
