The Issue
- Pop icon Katy Perry currently has four RIAA Diamond-certified singles. However, Katy also has three singles that are eligible for Diamond certifications ("E.T.", "Hot N Cold", and "Last Friday Night (TGIF)". Getting these songs certified would make Katy the artist with the second-most Diamond singles in US history. In addition, her iconic album Teenage Dream is also eligible for Diamond. If it gets certified, Katy would join only three other female artists (Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift, and Whitney Houston) as the only female artists to have both a Diamond single and a Diamond album. Help Katy get the recognition she deserves!
