The recent decision to dismiss some of our most adored teachers has left us deeply saddened. As high school students, we have formed strong bonds with these educators, who have become more than just teachers—they are mentors, guides, and, most importantly, inspirations. These teachers have consistently gone above and beyond their duties, creating an environment where learning is both meaningful and enjoyable. They have listened to our concerns and supported us every step of the way.

They have helped us pave our paths to the future, whether it be simple life advice, helping with college applications, or a recommendation letter. We are incredibly grateful for these exceptional educators who have profoundly impacted our lives, even if some of them we have only known for a few years.

Mr. Hampton’s effort as a mentor makes him an invaluable asset to Wayne Valley High School. I am not only saddened by his departure but wish that one of the most esteemed mentors and beloved educators at Wayne Valley would not have to leave at all.
