Our AFL community has been severely impacted in recent years by past and current player issues surrounding mental health.

Mental Health has long been a taboo subject, especially within the walls of football clubs, and that needs to change.

Too many young (and old) people lose their lives each year to this scourge.

We need more attention, more focus on the issues and outlets for more positive outcomes. 

Hence my petition to try to get the AFL to recognise that WE, the fans of the game, want to see them use their platform to "Get Around" players past and present, officials and supporters.

We have many significant rounds already recognised during the AFL season but there is none that addresses an issue that blanket covers every human involved.

Let's show the AFL that WE the public expect more from them, more inclusion and more talk around the issues and the opportunities.

Most of us have lost someone, or know someone who has, to this modern blight on our society.

As single individuals we can often feel helpless to affect change, but as a group, we can make a lasting impact across the entire football and greater world.
