Get A Version of Jodorowsky’s Dune Into Production

The Issue

Back in 1974, Chilean-French avant-garde director Alejandro Jodorowsky set out to create an ambitious film adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 sci-fi opus, Dune. With names from H.R. Giger to Mick Jagger attached to the project, it was set to be the greatest cinematic experience anyone was to witness. Unfortunately, due to Hollywood’s disbelief in Jodorowsky‘s vision, the film was never made, with only the now infamous “Dune Bible” being the only way to truly experience it.

My goal with this petition is to get an animated version of Jodorowsky’s Dune into production for a theatrical release. Many fans of Dune have long speculated how Jodorowsky would have accomplished his vision back in 1975, but now, with amazing animation being seen in film, it is more possible now to witness his full vision. This would not only give a new, interesting perspective on the story of Dune, but it would also finally accomplish Jodorowsky’s wish of having his vision seen by the world in motion to its full potential. This would also satisfy many cinephiles’ interests and wonders into an outlandish director’s look at a sci-fi classic.
