We, the undersigned, express our serious concern and outrage regarding a major security failure in Berlin that put Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi and his delegation at risk.
An individual was able to approach and carry out an act that compromised the safety, dignity, and security of a prominent public figure. Reports indicate that prior warnings about this individual may have existed. If confirmed, this represents a clear failure of preventive security measures and raises serious concerns about negligence.
The government of Germany and its law enforcement authorities have a direct responsibility to ensure public safety—especially for high-profile individuals who may be targeted.
We therefore demand:
A formal and public apology to Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, his delegation, and the Iranian people
Immediate identification, arrest, and prosecution of the individual responsible and any accomplices
Strong and decisive legal measures to prevent individuals who threaten public safety from causing further incidents
A full, independent, and transparent investigation into this security failure
Clear accountability for any negligence or failure of duty
Immediate strengthening of security measures to prevent such incidents in the future
Firm and decisive action by the German government in response to growing concerns about security threats linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)
A reassessment of diplomatic relations with representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran
This incident has caused deep concern among Iranians worldwide. It is not an isolated event, but part of broader security concerns affecting Iranian figures abroad.
