Renegotiate the Unitary Patent to add compulsory licenses for COVID19 and other medecines
The Issue
The Unitary Patent does not have compulsory licences for critical medecines (like for the COVID19 vaccine or any other medecine) across Europe.
Compulsory licensing for medecines was created by Nelson Mandela to save his people from the tyranny of BigPharma patents.
We are asking our politicians across Europe to reopen the negotiations on the pending Unitary Patent, which does not allow to impose a common compulsory license uniformly across Europe.
The UK, under the influence of its BigPharma firm GSK, also forced other European countries to remove the European Court of Justice (CJEU) out of patent law, which is a fundamental mistake and fundamentally undemocratic.
