As we are all aware, we are facing unprecedented times. While we can appreciate the efforts that Georgia State University has taken to issue partial refunds (40%) on unused portions of students living in on-campus housing, dining/meal plan, and campus fees, we ask that Georgia State University do more to support its students. Hence as spring break marks the middle of the semester, I believe that the students should receive a partial tuition refund due to coronavirus forcing the remaining semester classes online. Many students cannot handle the pressures and responsibility of taking all online courses, not only are we studying on our own, we are now teaching ourselves when we paid for instructors to teach us. 

Specifically, I believe that Georgia State University should refund 30% of student’s tuition fees for the Spring 2020 semester.

I ask that my peers sign the petition so that we can receive a partial tuition refund.
