Let’s Help Build Momentum...God is at Work!

On March 26, 2020, Attorney General Barr drafted a memorandum to the B.O.P, Bureau of Prisons, to utilize home confinement, to protect the health and safety of BOP personnel and the people in their custody. This was done so that each facility can prioritize who would be released to home confinement as appropriate in response to COVID19.

My husband suffers from an underlying conditions where 75% of individuals that is infected with COVID19 do not recover, even pass away. The instructions the inmates have been given by the remaining operating prison staff is to inform their counselor of their condition and put the request with them for further consideration. Due to the measures taken to minimize the spread of the virus caused reduction in staffing and limitations on what type of personnel can enter the facility. That led to a breakdown in communications to relay such request. Not only do these inmates have no way to make such requests, they have been quarantined for 14 days in 2-3 manned cells and allowed one meal a day. As others have expressed, "Conditions of confinement do not afford individuals the opportunity to take proactive steps to protect themselves, and prisons often create the ideal environment for the transmission of contagious disease.

The prison system is not prepared to handle to an unprecedented pandemic nor is it prepared with the type of medical supplies such as ventilators on a wide scale to treat these inmates should they become infected with COVID19. I’m calling for the B.O.P. to adhere to the Attorney General memo and release FCI Satellite Camp inmates now before the its to late! Help them hear us...keep sharing this petition, keep praying, and most of all keep the faith! Thanks
