Want people to be aware of all the horses and riders in the area after you pass the 20 mile marker on Ga Highway 144. Since I have moved in the house next to the Fire Station I have had 2 instances where horses have escaped their confines and decided to take a stroll down 144. This happens and in most cases no ones fault. Wednesday at 6am we had a sad tragedy and lost one of the beloved horses to an accident where a driver was also hurt. Luckily the other time this has happened we were notified and saved the previous wandering horses by getting them into our yard and off the road. First off we need signs before the sharp curve letting people know about the area they are entering.
