Capture myopathy (CM) is a non-infectious disease of wild and domestic animals in which muscle damage results from extreme exertion, struggle, or stress. CM often occurs as a result of chemical immobilization, capture, or transport.
We were told that the deer aren't stressed when they are caught, their screams and thrashing in the nets prove otherwise. Some processing plants won't even take deer that have been caught in neighborhoods like ours because their meat is often rendered not suitable for human consumption because of things like treated water on our golf courses and eating grasses and plants that have been treated with pesticides and herbicides.
Let's face it, it is time to reconsider this horrific and barbaric treatment of these gentle animals.
Tomorrow: Lyme's disease in Williamson County.........another topic of misinformation to our homeowners.
Thank you to all who have signed this petition and are working with me side by side to help change netting in Sun City and to educate folks who were given misinformation in the past.
