Our petition is starting to gain some steam. We need to encourage those who are too afraid to speak out against this barbaric treatment of our deer. One person posted today, "They put the net behind my home and I hear the screams of the deer they net. You cannot unhear it and you will never forget it." This is a retirement community, we see a lot of death since it is an older population. There is absolutely no reason that residents should be forced to see the nets for 3 months and then hear the screaming of these defenseless animals when they are netting. The does are now heavily pregnant, yearlings don't even have a chance. They are so frightened that they urinate and defecate while they struggle to get loose. These animals are suffering and the people who have to bear witness to the screams is absolutely unconscionable. No one disclosed they killed the deer when they bought here and it is a disgrace that you weren't so you could opt out of the community.
